Hospitality (DEHOGA Program)
In this program, we partner with the German Hotel and Restaurant Association (DEHOGA). DEHOGA plays a vital role in the hospitality sector, which is a significant part of Germany’s economy. Our collaboration focuses on the regional branch in Rhineland-Palatinate, which has a longstanding partnership with Rwanda.
We aim to place young Rwandan graduates in dual training programs („Berufsausbildung“) within the hospitality field. Candidates should be at least 21 years old, with academic or practical experience preferred.
After screening candidate documents, selected applicants will undergo an admission test and personal interview to demonstrate their skills and motivation. Language courses will start in July, allowing candidates ample time to learn German and pass the B1 Certificate exam.
Following the certification, DEHOGA will introduce participants to its members across a variety of hospitality establishments. The WBS Team will closely follow the matching process, ensuring candidates remain informed.
Selection for trainees in Germany is based on performance and personal criteria. Candidates who are selected but do not meet the criteria by the deadline may reapply the following year.

Studying in Germany
German universities offer a wide variety of degree programs in medicine, natural sciences, engineering, and economics. Take the chance to widen your knowledge and enhance your skills for a successful career, either in Germany or in your home country.
Courses: First, consider what you would like to study in Germany, as this will determine which of our three preparatory courses you should attend.
· Our M-course is designed for all subjects in the medical field, such as medicine, nursing, biology, or pharmacy.
· Our T-course prepares you for studies in engineering, natural sciences, and computer science, including coding.
· Finally, the W-course facilitates your studies in economics, business, and social studies.
The courses start twice a year, in March and September, and last for 10 months, including the final exam. If you are undecided about your field of study, we can help you identify interesting subjects.
German Language: If you have not yet learned German, you can book a German language course at our local office or an online course at our language school. To further improve your language skills, you can attend the B1/B2 language course at the Studienkolleg with the same teachers who will instruct you during your preparatory courses.
